The Latest in Leather Trends Coming to Lineapelle NYC

Twice a year since 2001, premium leather producers from around the world have gathered in New York City to showcase their latest collections for use in fashion accessories, garments, and other leathergoods. The occasion: Lineapelle New York, a prestigious fair showcasing the best tanneries domestically and abroad. With spring right around the corner, preparation and anticipation for this year’s show is heating up quickly.

The year’s first installment of Lineapelle New York will take place February 3rd and 4th at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Pavilion, where designers and stylists will have a chance to view the latest trends and highlights for Summer collections. Many will be looking for inspiration, and a total of nearly 100 of the world’s selected leading leather producers will be exhibiting at the fair.

Sustainability is a critical factor in each supplier’s collections – with Lineapelle’s stringent selection process, almost all exhibitors at the fair have an ISO Certification in Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety. Above all, however, innovation is key. Reigning from the United States and Portugal, Rainbow Leather and Dias Ruivo – respectively – offer a wide selection of contemporary leathers paving the way in style and offering designers inspiration for their coming collections.

Rainbow Leather

Rainbow Leather is based in College Point, New York where it has just celebrated its 25th anniversary. Although run by a small team, the company has managed to become the leader in printed leathers and fabrics. In fact, the world-renowned company is the only operation left of its kind that produces such a diverse range of printed and embossed products. Rainbow Leather works on finished leathers and offers unique designs, from exotic leopard prints to embossed polka dots and everything in between. In the company's eyes, as long as it can be conceived, it can be produced.

The company is made up of a team dedicated to quality and innovation, producing everything from traditional leathers to more contemporary ones, including printed and "fantasy" leathers in a range of colors and finishes. Dias Ruivo's seasonal collections are used internationally by accessories and interiors designers.
